An Eclectic Mix
This week has been somewhat of an eclectic mix of tasks, from plotting routes around Bournville and writing scripts full of information about Old Joe. With the main body of text for the University of Birmingham’s Student Survival Guide having been completed, I have collated a very long list of photographs that will be needed for the design and completion of the guide.
With the completion of this list we then turn towards the task of actually taking the pictures, which hopefully, weather permitting will be happening soon so we can progress further with the survival guide. In order to aid this, I have created a route around Selly Oak, Harborne, Edgbaston and Bournville that is conducive to easily taking these photographs. With there being over 30 photographs to be taken across the area it is important to take the most direct route! Though geography is not one of my strong points mapping out an area I have spent so much time in did not seem to be too difficult.
Since I am unable to take the photographs myself I must fill my time with other tasks such as writing script content for the upcoming Vlog series. This is another new endeavour for WeiPoint as we are aiming to use videos of important sites around Birmingham to entice people to connect with the heritage of the city. This being so these Vlog scripts must be written! So this week I have focused on writing up the script behind Old Joe, the iconic symbol of the University of Birmingham. Once these scripts have been written and we are aiming for a number of around 30, films will be taken of these sites and the content will be created.
