Who are we?

The Atlas of Birmingham is powered by WeiPoint.

Established in Birmingham, the most diverse and entrepreneurial city in the UK, The Atlas of Birmingham’s mission is to advocate for inclusion and innovation across the city of Birmingham. We help local citizens of all backgrounds to connect within the city and we aim to promote Birmingham on an international scale. Our team is dedicated to showcasing the brightest and best that the city has to offer, in an accessible format that everyone can take advantage of.

Our Team

What do we do?

The Atlas of Birmingham works to introduce the world to the history, culture and community of the UK’s ‘Second City’. We create multilingual content that highlights the biggest and best of Birmingham society so everybody can learn, explore and feel at home in this great city.

We are building a digital calendar that highlights local events, to show that Birmingham is a fun place both to visit and to live, enabling people to explore Birmingham while advancing their own professional and academic interests in the city. We are also developing an Ambassador Programme for students to learn about Birmingham, test their knowledge, develop their skills and meet like minded, local people.

The Midlands is Great

The Atlas of Birmingham promotes the Midlands through international engagement, talent exchange and industry dialogue. We are an ever-growing and evolving team, always exploring new ways of promoting the region. We place particular focus on helping local businesses and higher education institutions access the global network, expanding their reach and ability to make a positive impact on more lives.

Behind our Logo

Our logo was created by drawing inspiration directly from the sights of Birmingham we know and love. With such recognisable architecture in our skyline, you can find the familiarity of the city across a range of our branding.

Alongside our iconic buildings, we follow the colours of the Birmingham flag: red, yellow and blue. The bright colours celebrate Birmingham’s city status, industry and canals which you can learn more about here.
