Short intro: A beautiful 19th Century gothic Church

Description: St. Mary’s was originally constructed from 1860-1861. It’s construction was funded by two Birmingham manufacturers: George Richards Elkington, who produced cutlery and jewellery in Birmingham's jewellery quarter; Joseph Fredercick Ledsam, who was heavily responsible for Birmingham’s Victorian railway network. The structure is built from sandstone sourced from all around England: from local Bromsgrove stone, to Bath stone; even stone from the nearby Weoley castle. The interior was redecorated in 1961 to celebrate the centenary St. Mary’s Church, and the building still holds its original stain glass windows from 1861.
